Initial plans for the portfolio project were to work by myself and figure out a good storyline with characters. Within the first two weeks, I want to be able to have a solid set of characters, a genre chosen, an aspect of the plot, and the technology I will need to complete the movie opener.
When it comes to the actual film opening, two different types of film opening catch my attention. First is the established characters opening. This type of opening makes it so the main characters are shown in great detail and shows what type of people they're going to be. It also allows me to connect my audience to the characters and want them to learn more about my characters. On the other hand, the established location opening grants me the opportunity of creating a setting in which people would be interested and leaving them wanting to know how it relates to the story. It also lets me create a place that emanates a vibe of how the story will be.
